Jefferson Telecom has announced the appointment of Jamie Daubendiek as general manager of the company, succeeding Jim Daubendiek in this position. Jamie’s passion for the industry sprouted from his upbringing in the family business, now in the fifth generation of family involvement.
Jamie Daubendiek started fulltime at Jefferson Telecom in 2009 after completing his master’s of business administration in telecommunications from the University of Colorado and his bachelor of arts from Luther College in Decorah.
During his tenure, Jamie has proven to be a visionary leader advocating for higher internet speeds, Wi-Fi management technology, hosted phone systems for business customers and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). Jamie is passionate regarding economic development and downtown revitalization in Jefferson. He has served as the Jefferson Matters: Main Street board president since 2014 and has been integral in conversations with Pillar Technology.
“In his new capacity, Jamie will lead the staff setting the standards for growth in a broadband world,” states Jim Daubendiek. “I have witnessed first-hand the commitment that Jamie has not only for the company but for the greater community, remaining heavily involved in advancing Jefferson and Greene County.”

Jim Daubendiek was named general manager in 1988 and has worked at Jefferson Telecom for 53 years. Jim will remain involved in Jefferson Telecom working on special projects while aiding in Jamie’s leadership advancement
